GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide ghrelin mimetic that binds the growth-hormone secretagogue receptor in the pituitary and hypothalamus. It produces the largest appetite stimulus among the GHS-R agonist family while supporting IGF-1 expression and cardiac, neurological, and gastrointestinal tissue.
Its pronounced appetite signal makes GHRP-6 a reference compound in cachexia, gastric-emptying, and feeding-behavior research.
